Conceptual and creative direction, Mater
OeO has been involved with Mater since the start-up of the company in 2006. OeO has worked strategically and creatively with Henrik Marstrand, CEO and founder of Mater, to develop the concept and the design philosophy from a strong vision to create timeless and beautiful design with a clear corporate social responsibility. Early work included concept development, brand name development, designer selection, creative direction and development of design philosophy and DNA.
Mater was launched at Maison et Objet in Paris, September 2007 with a collection of high-end lifestyle and home accessories that are marketed primarily towards an urban and sophisticated audience 27 years and over and are produced under sustainable and ethical guidelines as defined by United Nations Global Compact. The designers represent some of the best and proven talent from Scandinavia, France and the US. Mater aims at working with many different nationalities in order to be a true global company.
Today Thomas Lykke from OeO is appointed external creative director of Mater and is involved in all creative aspects of the collection including selection of new designers, line extensions and new product development.
